Beam type (warehouse) shelves are a widely used type of shelves, with advantages such as stable structure, large load-bearing capacity, and convenient picking. The shelf is composed of supporting column pieces and crossbeams. The connection between the crossbeam and the column is a hanging type and equipped with safety pins, which can be adjusted according to the pitch of 50 and 76mm. The column pieces are connected to the ground using expansion bolts. The bottom layer of the shelves is usually placed on the ground, with 2-3 pallets placed on each layer. The length of the crossbeam and the depth of the column are determined by the size of the tray. This shelf can flexibly adapt to some safety or convenience components as needed, such as tray stops, tray back stops, mesh layers, anti-collision foot guards, and connecting beams. Shelf layout is generally divided into standard channel type, narrow channel type (VNA), and double entry deep cargo space type, and is suitable for different forklifts. Due to the large number of channels arranged, the utilization rate of the warehouse is low. Adopting a narrow channel (VNA) or double entry deep layout design can effectively avoid this disadvantage. Cross beam shelving, due to its unique storage management capability and extremely convenient picking function, has become the preferred shelving type for logistics enterprises and others.
